Jayati Ghosh is an Indian Developmental Economist. She did her Ph.D. in Economics at Cambridge. Her core areas of interest are international economics, macroeconomics, and Gender. She heads the Centre for Economic Studies at JNU. As the UNDP Excellence in Analysis awardee, the Satyendranath Sen awardee, and the recipient of the NordSud Prize for Research in Social Sciences, Jayati Ghosh is at the forefront of research in the development sector in India today. The theme of the session would be the Role of Women Leaders in Developing Economies.
